Partial Dentures in Vancouver BC
A partial denture is a removable dental appliance used to replace one or more missing teeth. It rests directly on the gum tissue and may also be support by the remaining teeth by using a clasp or rest. You will take it out to clean it and should also take it out at night so that the underlying tissue in your mouth has an opportunity to rest/recover from the pressure of wearing it all day.

Typically making a partial will take 2-3 appointments. At the first appointment we will take an impression that we send to the lab. We will also record the color of your remaining teeth so that we can match it to the color of the partial teeth. At the second appointment we will ensure the partial fits properly and the color and tooth shape are correct, before it returns to the lab for final processing. At the third appointment you will wear it home. You may require minor adjustments over the next few days/weeks as you adjust to chewing with it in your mouth.
