Dental Exams Vancouver
New patients to our practice will receive a complete new patient exam which consists of an oral cancer check, hard (teeth and bone) and soft (tissue and muscle) exam, radiographic (x-ray) exam, and a periodontal (gums and supporting structures) exam. This will allow us to complete a full assessment of your joints, muscles, tissue, teeth and gums so that we can ensure your overall over health and provide the best possible treatment for your specific needs.
Depending on what records we are able to receive from your previous dentist, and the length of time since that visit, we may require some x-rays of your teeth which we will take at that time. You can expect your first visit to be approximately an hour and a half long, and when possible we will also commence your dental cleaning at that same visit. Our ability to complete your hygiene visit will depend on the period of time since your previous visit and the health of your teeth and gums. Everyone is different. If you have any specific concerns or priorities please let us know and we will make every effort to accommodate.

The RCDG Difference…
New Patient Visit – How it Works
1.
Call or Request Online
The first step to better oral health is booking a new patient visit. Give us a call or request an appointment online.
2.
Initial Visit
During your first visit we will take some digital X-Rays and see what’s going on inside of your mouth. Then, we’ll learn about your oral health goals and come up with a treatment plan.
3.
Your Mouth, Your Decisions
Once we have shared our recommendations, we want you make the best decisions for yourself. We will never be pushy or recommend treatments that you do not need.
