Dr. Ken Phillips

Dr. Ken Phillips is a general dentist at RCDG. Originally from Montreal, he graduated from Dalhousie Dental School in 1987, eventually moving west. He founded the Royal Centre practice in 1990. Now, when he’s not cycling the highways and byways of the province, or studying the latest developments in dentistry, he can be found here in downtown Vancouver working Monday-Thursday with his long time staff.

Dr. Phillips has taken a particular interest in aesthetic and laser dentistry over the years, taking advanced training courses in a variety of areas. He has been mentored by oral surgeon Dr. Ken Blankstein, and now performs most of his own surgical extractions.

Dr. Ryan Bernhauser

Dr. Ryan Bernhauser is an experienced general dentist at RCDG. He graduated in 2004 from dental school in Saskatchewan and didn’t hesitate when the opportunity to practice away from the cold and snow arose. Dr. Bernhauser has chosen to advance his skills in the area of endodontics (root canals), laser dentistry and orthodontics/ Invisalign®.

Together, the team at RCDG works Monday thru Saturday to accommodate your busy schedule. They look forward to working with you to provide the treatment and information you need to keep you smiling and healthy. Dr. Shahrzad Rahimizadeh

Dr. Shahrzad Rahimizadeh is a dedicated general dentist at RCDG, known for her compassionate approach and expertise in cosmetic and surgical dentistry. Since earning her dental degree in 2018, Dr. Shahrzad has built a reputation for patient-centered care, always taking the time to listen and address each patient’s unique needs to create a comfortable and positive experience.

Beyond her work in the clinic, Dr. Shahrzad serves as a clinical instructor at UBC’s Faculty of Dentistry, where she mentors the next generation of dentists with a passion for excellence and evidence-based care. Her commitment to giving back to the community shines through her volunteer work with the NextGen BC Oral Cancer Prevention Program, where she contributes to oral health awareness and education.

Dr. Shahrzad actively participates in advanced courses to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in dentistry. When not in the clinic, she enjoys Pilates, playing piano, and spending quality time with family. Dr. Shahrzad is excited to welcome new patients, offering each a personalized and caring dental experience.

Dr. Payam Matin

Certified Specialist in Periodontics (CANADA & USA)

Dr. Payam Matin grew up in Vancouver and completed his bachelor of science in Cell Biology and Genetics at UBC in 2007. He then moved to Boston where he completed his dental degree with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2011. Following his graduation from dental school, he completed a general practice residency program at OSF Medical Center in Illinois. He then moved back to Vancouver and practiced as a general dentist for a few years before realizing his passion is in surgical procedures. Dr. Matin obtained his certificate in Periodontics and Implant Surgery along with Master of Science in dentistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019 and joined Imperio. He is excited to be back in Vancouver where he is going to provide excellent quality work for patients.
