Porcelain Veneers Vancouver
Porcelain veneers are thin layers of porcelain fixed onto teeth to enhance appearance, and in some cases, to protect the teeth. Porcelain veneers allow patients to achieve a dramatic smile makeover without removing a lot of tooth structure. The results can last 10 years or more.
Porcelain veneers typically require 2-3 appointments. The first is a consultation with our downtown Vancouver dentist to determine the desired look. During the second visit, the tooth surfaces will be prepared, by removing a very thin layer of enamel, and take impressions of the teeth. Using these impressions, veneers are made at the lab to fit onto the surfaces. Patients will often visit the lab for custom shading to achieve the best possible color match for their new veneers.
On the third visit, the dentist will apply a cleaning solution to prepare the tooth surfaces for bonding, and the permanent veneers will be bonded.
